COOKMASTER

The classic design of the  Cookmaster range cooker is at home in any style kitchen, mountain cabins to farmhouses to midtown condominiums. The Cookmaster  is an authentic range cooker because of the indirect heat technology that is used. It is known as the “kind-to-food” heat because rather than allowing food to dry out, the radiant heat from the cast iron  construction locks in the flavors and natural juices, thus making healthier, more delicious dishes.

The Cookmaster's unique design and engineering deliver the control and versatility contemporary cooks require to prepare the perfect meal every time. Like the food-friendly radiant heat only cast iron provides, the Cookmaster brings a gentle, comforting warmth and coziness to your home and kitchen in the winter.  Since it is an “on-demand” , or “on/off” range cooker, it is not continuously giving off heat  like it’s “cousin” the heat storage cooker (ie. the AGA) and as a result the Cookmaster will only be “on” when it is actually in use and will not over heat the kitchen during the hot summer months, so typical in the mid Atlantic region of the US.

The Cookmaster provides high-heat cooking which quickly brings out the best in vegetables; but it also excels at  gentle, slow roasting and the Cookmaster is well known for it’s exceptional baking capabilities. The Cookmaster has 2 cast iron ovens, the lower oven operates at approximately half the temperature of the larger main oven. The Cookmaster features an integral automatic timer, which allows the Cookmaster to be set to pre-heat ahead of time so that it will be ready for cooking immediately upon returning home from work, much like a programmable coffee maker.

However, the major attraction of Cookmaster is its lustrous enamel exterior which adds to the  of your beauty kitchen. The Cookmaster is hand built by craftsmen and is an authentic English icon for the heart of your home! The Cookmaster is made in England, by Rayburn, an AGA company, and is distributed in North America by Heartland Appliances, another AGA company. It is available in the following colors: black, cream, claret, dark blue, and pewter. The Cookmaster operates on either propane or natural gas and uses a conventional 5 inch diameter flue.

The Cookmaster is as “at home” in a mountain cabin as it is in a metropolitan house!

Here’s how the Cookmaster Works:

1. The Hotplate: A solid one-piece cast iron construction, with heat graduated along its length. Just like a professional chef’s hotplate, pans are simply slid from simmer to boiling, or any temperature in between, eradicating the need to be constantly handling controls and glancing under pans. Hotplate heat can be adjusted, and will accommodate up to eight saucepans

2. Heat Source/Burner Unit: The Cookmaster has an advanced high power burner unit which allow on/off operation for efficiency and convenience.

3. Insulated Lids : The characteristic insulated lids are a stylish feature of the true range. When in the closed position they retain hotplate heat, leaving the highly polished finish warm to the touch.

4. Main Oven : The Cookmaster has a large cast iron main oven, which is ideal for all types of cooking, baking roasting and slow cooking. Being made from cast iron and using indirect radiant heat, the oven can cook in the gentle way is unique. A thermodial in the main oven door shows a guide to the center oven temperature.

5. Lower Oven : The cast iron lower oven operates at half the main oven temperature.
