At Stitches Etc we provide you with quality classes, service, and support and we request that you purchase your class materials from us since we have worked diligently to provide you with wonderful products! EVERYTHING you buy from us is the best that we have found and when you purchase materials from us for class we make sure that you get the right stuff, as well as give you a discount! When you register for classes please pay at the time of registration. If you call in your registration, we must receive payment within 48 hours. You may receive a full refund if you cancel more than 2 weeks before a class. If you cancel less than 2 days before class or do not show up you will, unfortunately, forfeit all class fees. Since classes are a time to relax and enjoy—as well as to learn-for everyone, please leave babies and children at home. We also request that you respect your classmates and arrive to class on time and prepared for class. Unless noted, all classes are sit and sew and require you to bring your machines. Snow Policy—If Baltimore County schools are closed, class will be canceled and re-scheduled, on weekends we will call you if we are going to cancel/postpone due to weather. |

Machine Know How Classes: These classes are designed for Stitches Etc Preferred Customers to help them “bond” with their machines, are available at no extra charge, and are quite valuable! Lear how to properly maintain your machine, troubleshoot and perform utility and decorative functions. Owners of machines obtained elsewhere may attend our classes IF there is room and for a fee. Call to inquire. We request that you take your Know How Class as soon as possible after you purchase your machine! If you register for class but cannot attend, please call us a soon as possible: if you do not show up for a class that you have registered for and do not call to tell us that you cannot attend, you may forfeit your privilege to attend Know How Class in the future. Please notify us if you would like to attend class and bring pen and paper for taking notes, your machine and all it’s accessories, scissors, and pastel thread. 1.0 EZ Angle Party and Tool Review, Saturday Jan 10, 1 pm Come to our party and visit with friends, get excited about the New year’s quilt projects, and see a review of how to use some of our favorite EZ Quilting Tools! We’ll be introducing a special exclusive Stitches Etc Email Subscription Shoo Fly Sampler Quilt Block of the Month Program! If you can’t make the Quilt Party, just stop by or give us a call and we’ll let you know all the details. Bring one of your favorite EZ Angle projects to show and share, and maybe something to nibble on, too!

2.0 Hoop Embroidered Mug Mitten, Sunday Jan. 17, 1 pm For Stitches Etc Preferred Customers with Janome .jef format embroidery machines. At 1 pm we’ll have a lecture/demo to present how I created these designs, how to transfer them to your ATAPC card/flash stick, how to use the Edit function of your machine to personalize your mug mittens, how to actually do the embroidery, and then how to finally stitch up your mug mitten! |

Be sure to bring your desired mug to class, along with a tape measure! It needs to be a straight sided mug—nothing fancy or with voluptuous curves!This is a great review of embroidery skills and will be the first of many Embroidery Fun Times we’ll have through out the year! In order to make life easier for me( so that I have time to create more fun projects), we are going to ask that you purchase a Janome USB stick from us so that we can put your designs and files of directions, templates and such on them rather than burn you a CD, which is time consuming—considering how many I have to do! Just bring that USB stick with you to every Embroidery Fun Time throughout the year! You’ll never get your CD’s mixed up—all the projects for the year will be in one place! The initial cost for the year’s Embroidery Fun Time membership participation is $20—but that will include your Janome USB stick AND a $10 Fabric Coupon. There may be additional charges for different classes throughout the year. Sit and Sew, 2pm For those of you that are new or re-entry embroiderers—stay after the lecture/demo and actually embroider the cover for your mug mitten! We’ll be there to hold your hand every step of the way! When you sign up for class, let us know if you plan to stay for the sit and sew and we’ll give you your supply list. |

3.0 Hoop Embroidered Hearts, Sat. Feb 6th, 1 pm Lecture/demo for SE Preferred Customers with .jef format Janome Embroidery Machines. We’ll show you how to take a design, like this adorable one from Embroidery Library, download it, bring into to Digi Jr, adapt it for stitching on sweatshirt material, change the colors and the size of the design, and how to add lettering! We’ll review the types of stabilizers for working on sweatshirts and how to use the Janome cloth Setter for perfect positioning! You’ll also see how I created this floral heart design and individual flowers. Be sure to bring your Janome USB stick so that you can get your copies of the design and then go home and stitch them up! Embroider the floral heart, sash it and then quilt it and you’ll be already to make a bag using our NEW PDQ (pretty darn quick) Tote Pattern! 4.0 NEW Braided Bag, Saturdays Feb 13th AND 20th, 1pm. I got soo excited when I discovered a new way for making braids or “chisels” using our favorite tool—The Easy Angle! Come to our EZ Angel Party on January 10th and get a review of many different techniques for using the Easy Angle including how to cut “chisels”! If you can’t make it to the party, stop by when you sign up for class and we’ll show you how EASY it is! In this 2 part sit and sew class, we’ll assemble our chisels into braids (great way to use up “stash”), sash the strips, machine quilt (great project to practice free motion quilting), and construct the tote! This project uses the 4 1/2” Easy Angel tool. $30, includes pattern, pick up supply list. |

6.0 “Cluck of the Month” Chicken Appliqué Quilt, first Meeting Many of you saw us working on this adorable, whimsical quilt this past fall and now is your opportunity to get in on the project! We’ll be meeting several times through out the year for the better part of a day each time to get this quilt made, rather than actually getting together once a month. The all details of the program will be presented on our Kick off Saturday Feb 27th at 11 am. Cost not yet determined. |

5.0 Machine Appliqué Party Sat. Jan 30th, 1:30 pm For everyone that loves to do machine appliqué—the Stitches Etc picot way! Come for a get together, bring one of your favorite picot appliqué projects to show and share and we’ll talk about our “Cluck of the Month” program, hand out some nifty Valentines appliqué patterns, and visit! If you’ve been wanting to join in on all the fun we’ve been having stitching up the great comical appliqués, then this is the opportunity to come, meet all the “appliqué” ladies and learn how easy it is to do picot appliqué—the super easy technique we use to stitch them up fast and fun! If you’re a new-bie, we’ll have a sit and sew time after our get together so that you can practice with our appliqué skill builder pattern. Just let us know if you want to stay to sew when you sign up! $5 for party, additional $5 for sit and sew—get $5 fabric coupon when you come so the party is FREE! |
