At Stitches Etc we provide you with quality classes, service, and support and we request that you purchase your class materials from us since we have worked diligently to provide you with wonderful products! EVERYTHING you buy from us is the best that we have found and when you purchase materials from us for class we make sure that you get the right stuff, as well as give you a discount! When you register for classes please pay at the time of registration. If you call in your registration, we must receive payment within 48 hours. You may receive a full refund if you cancel more than 2 weeks before a class. If you cancel less than 2 days before class or do not show up you will, unfortunately, forfeit all class fees. Since classes are a time to relax and enjoy—as well as to learn-for everyone, please leave babies and children at home. We also request that you respect your classmates and arrive to class on time and prepared for class. Unless noted, all classes are sit and sew and require you to bring your machines. Snow Policy—If Baltimore County schools are closed, class will be canceled and re-scheduled, on weekends we will call you if we are going to cancel/postpone due to weather. |

Machine Know How Classes: These classes are designed for Stitches Etc Preferred Customers to help them “bond” with their machines, are available at no extra charge, and are quite valuable! Lear how to properly maintain your machine, troubleshoot and perform utility and decorative functions. Owners of machines obtained elsewhere may attend our classes IF there is room and for a fee. Call to inquire. We request that you take your Know How Class as soon as possible after you purchase your machine! If you register for class but cannot attend, please call us a soon as possible: if you do not show up for a class that you have registered for and do not call to tell us that you cannot attend, you may forfeit your privilege to attend Know How Class in the future. Please notify us if you would like to attend class and bring pen and paper for taking notes, your machine and all it’s accessories, scissors, and pastel thread. 17.o Introduction to Paper Piecing, Friday July 16th, 6 pm Paper piecing is sooo much fun—and easy to do, once you learn how to work upside down and backwards! This block is super easy to paper piece, using 2 1/2” strips from your stash! Make lots of blocks and create a great scrappy quilt! We’ll show you not only how to paper piece, but how to use some of the commonly available paper piecing software that is available to you, too! Gather up some of your 2 1/2” strips from your stash—don’t have any stash?—not to worry, we can supply you with some strips for class! $15, includes patterns. Pick up supply list. You’ll love making these blocks so much that you’ll keep on stitching! Come to our class #25 Run Away to Quilt Day and sit and sew with friends to work on a whole quilt of these stars! 20.0 Piece In the Hoop Party! Saturday July 10th, 2 pm For all owners of Stitches Etc Preferred Customers with Janome .jef format embroidery machines! We found this FABULOUS book—chock full of great piece in the hoop projects which includes a CD with 40 designs!!! We’ll show you how easy it is to do piece in the hoop designs, let you look thru the book, hand out our own digitized piece in the hoop design (make sure you bring your Janome club USB flash stick!) and take orders for the book, so that we can put a large order in and save you 20%!!!! The party is FREE, but we need to know if you are coming ahead of time. If you’ve never done a piece in the hoop design, bring your embroidery machine and we’ll stitch our star designs together!

21.o Starburst Technique Workshop, July 17th, 1 pm After seeing this Starburst block in a quilting magazine that was pretty impossible to piece, we came up with our own easy to follow instructions—as well as two other blocks, the Easy X and the Tipsy Tic Tac Toe blocks that are constructed in a similar manner! In this workshop we’ll make one of each of these blocks so that you’ll learn the process, and then you can go home and make lots of blocks to stitch up a quilt like the one depicted! Pick up supply list, $20. Or—come to our Run Away to Quilt Day on Saturday August 7th and sit and sew up your blocks in company with friends! |

23.0 Easy Attic Windows, Saturday July 24th, 2 pm An Attic Windows quilt looks great with a pretty fabric like this Hoffman paisley series! The mitered “window” frames are easy to do with the EZ Easy Angle tool—either as a “mock miter” or as a true miter! Come to this demo and we’ll show you how easy it is stitch! Bring your machine and a few supplies, if you like, so that you can see for yourself how easy it is to stitch the miters! $10, includes directions and pattern.
