At Stitches Etc we provide you with quality classes, service, and support and we request that you purchase your class materials from us since we have worked diligently to provide you with wonderful products! EVERYTHING you buy from us is the best that we have found and when you purchase materials from us for class we make sure that you get the right stuff, as well as give you a discount! When you register for classes please pay at the time of registration. If you call in your registration, we must receive payment within 48 hours. You may receive a full refund if you cancel more than 2 weeks before a class. If you cancel less than 2 days before class or do not show up you will, unfortunately, forfeit all class fees. Since classes are a time to relax and enjoy—as well as to learn-for everyone, please leave babies and children at home. We also request that you respect your classmates and arrive to class on time and prepared for class. Unless noted, all classes are sit and sew and require you to bring your machines. Snow Policy—If Baltimore County schools are closed, class will be canceled and re-scheduled, on weekends we will call you if we are going to cancel/postpone due to weather. |

Machine Know How Classes: These classes are designed for Stitches Etc Preferred Customers to help them “bond” with their machines, are available at no extra charge, and are quite valuable! Lear how to properly maintain your machine, troubleshoot and perform utility and decorative functions. Owners of machines obtained elsewhere may attend our classes IF there is room and for a fee. Call to inquire. We request that you take your Know How Class as soon as possible after you purchase your machine! If you register for class but cannot attend, please call us a soon as possible: if you do not show up for a class that you have registered for and do not call to tell us that you cannot attend, you may forfeit your privilege to attend Know How Class in the future. Please notify us if you would like to attend class and bring pen and paper for taking notes, your machine and all it’s accessories, scissors, and pastel thread. 2.0 2011 Saturday Seminar Star Sampler Layering Get Together and St. Patrick's Day Party, Sunday March 25th—NEW DATE For all those that participated in the 2011 Saturday Seminar program, here is an opportunity to come in and pin baste your quilt tops! Sign up to come in this day and as the date gets closer, we’ll assign you a time. We’ll work together in groups to help each other pin baste their quilts! Put the date on the calendar and get your quilt put together! We’re here to help you out! $5 Wear something green and we’ll make it a St. Patrick’s Day party too! |

5.0 Intro to free Motion Quilting, Saturday January 21st, 2 pm Free motion quilting is lots of fun—and if you ask many of us, we’ll tell you that it’s the most therapeutic part of quilting! While it does take a bit of practice, one you learn the fundamentals you can quilt to your cares away! We’ve got lots of up coming projects for you to hone your free motion skills, too. So, don’t miss out on this opportunity! Even if you’ve taken this class before, it might be helpful to take it again—learning that “extra special” trick can make all the difference! 6.0 Scrappy Strippy All Day Sit & Sew, Saturday January 28th, 11 am Make it a date to come to Stitches Etc and spend the day stitching one of these great scrap quilts! The Scrappy Patio Block quilt is made from 3 1/2” strips and the Shadow Box 4 Patch quilt is made from 2 1/2” strips ( you need full width strips for this one) Both quilts can be made in multiple sizes and are “conversation friendly” to stitch together so that you can still visit with friends while you’re sewing! Come to #3 Shape Up Your Stash Workshop on Jan 14th and we’ll help you coordinate your stash to make one of these “organized” scrappy quilts! We’ll give you the patterns to both of the quilts when you sign up so that you can go thru your stash, add to your stash, and get all your fabrics together! Bring something for the “stone soup”, too! $25 |

Great opportunity to review balanced 4 thread, 3 thread, narrow hem and gathering stitches on your serger! Pillowcases are fast and fun to stitch up, once you’ve mastered al the different stitches on your serger! Have you been intrigued by those in the hoop post card designs from Embroidery Library, but couldn’t figure out how to stitch them, or were you too intimidated to even try? Well, now’s your opportunity to have us “hold your hand” while we stitch this adorable Valentine! Great as a mini quilt to hang in your office or on your ‘frig, or even use as a bookmark! 10.0 Braids Demo and Workshop, Demo Sat. Feb 18th, 2 pm; Sit & Sew Workshop Sat March 3rd (full) AND Saturday March 17th (new overflow date!)! Braids are a great way to use your stash of 2 1/2” strips! We’ll show you how to make both the Pioneer Braid (both runners) and the Cobble Stone Braid (tote bag)! Bring some of your favorite strips to demo class and we’ll help you coordinate and get ready for the all day sit and sew on March 3rd! This little zip bag finishes about 6” x 7 1/2” and I had soooo much fun making the first one, that I had to keep making MORE!! Come to our all day workshop, bring something for the community “stone soup” pot, and spend a day of fun with friends stitching up and quilting this bag! You’ll have the same good time creating fabulous pinwheel projects with new Twister tool. Twister’s are new tools that have simplified an old technique with easy to follow instructions. Use the Lil’ Twister with charm packs or cut charms from your stash! The sky is the limit for projects that you can create with the Twister tools!
